Manage Hosting Platform Access: Create, Edit, Delete Users

To create a new Active Directory user, go to the AD Management tab and click 'Create Single User' under 'Create Users.' Select one or multiple templates with predefined access rights for various environments. Choose a valid container, usually auto-completed based on the technician's role, then enter the required details and click Create. A pop-up will display the new account details and a one-time password, which should not be shared with users.

 

  1. Click AD Management tab.
  2. Click 'Create Single User' link under 'Create Users'. This opens the Create Single User screen.
  3. Depending on appropriate Scenarios one or multiple Templates can be selected from the field "Selected Template":

     

  4. The Templates contains Predefined Access Rights for available Environment types (Production, Acceptance, Test, etc.) and will be associated to the newly created user.

     

  5. Select a valid container; you will see only appropriate Containers to your Technicians Role(in most cases it will be auto completed)
  6. After specifying the required details, click on Create to add this new user account to your Active Directory.
  7. Once the account is created the details will be displayed on new Pop-up message.
  8. The credential displayed on the Pop-up message should not be shared with the users as it’s a one-time generated password.
