SSP - How To - Reset User Password

Manage Hosting Platform Access: Create, Edit, Delete Users

This guide explains how to reset passwords for accounts created in SSP, especially for users needing Ortec Gateway access. Administrators can reset passwords via the Management tab under User Management → Reset Password in Bulk User Modification. After selecting users, the option "User must change password at the next logon" should be enabled. Users will then use the Password Reset Portal (Ekco PRP or Azure PRP) to create unique passwords.

This options should be used in special cases, for example if the users for whom you are creating the account need to use the Ortec Gateway, you have the possibility to set a new password for the accounts created in SSP. Also, they will need to use the Password Reset Portal to create their own and unique password: Ekco PRP or Azure PRP.

  1. Click the Management tab.
  2. Select User Management → Reset Password in the Bulk User Modification section.
  3. Check the box next to Reset Password.
  4. In the Password options section, click the User must change password at the next logon drop-down and select Yes.
  5. To show the users list, select the domain and the OU.

6. Once the users list is displayed, select the users by checking the box next to them, and click Apply. The selected users will have their password reset and they will be required to change their password at the next logon.
